Why Work With Bay Marine Works

Choosing the right marine services provider matters. The wrong contractor can mean delays, rework, compliance issues, or safety incidents that cost far more than any savings on the initial quote. Bay Marine Works has built our business on delivering reliable results, and that commitment shows in our qualifications, equipment, and the clients who return to us project after project.

Qualifications & Accreditations

Our team holds the certifications that matter for professional marine work. ADAS Level 3 commercial divers and dive supervisors ensure underwater work meets international commercial diving standards. CSWIP 3.2 certification covers underwater welding and non-destructive testing inspection. Maritime NZ certified skippers operate our vessels. All crew maintain current oxygen administration and first aid certification. As a Tōtika prequalified contractor, we've demonstrated our health and safety systems meet New Zealand standards for commercial work. We're also trained through the Maritime NZ Regional Response Course for emergency response operations.

Equipment & Fleet

Bay Marine Works operates our own fleet of vessels and maintains comprehensive diving equipment, giving us control over project delivery without relying on third-party hire. Our vessels range from the Lady Kay II tug through to the transportable Webster drill barge, meaning we can deploy the right platform for each job. Diving equipment includes surface-supplied systems for extended bottom time, underwater photography and video for documentation, and contaminated water diving gear for sewage, stormwater, and industrial environments. When we take on a project, we have the kit to deliver it.
